Following up on the successful March 2011 conference at Oxford University, the IAPC will be co-sponsoring a one-day conference at the British Library’s Eccles Centre for American Studies. The conference, entitled American Presidential Elections: Model of Democracy or Flawed System? is scheduled for June 11, 2012. The University of London’s Institute for the Study of the Americas is also a sponsor.
The meeting will be hosted at the British Library Conference Centre, one of the most prestigious and attractive conference locations in London.
Among the topics for discussions are:
- SuperPacs and their role
- Are national parties becoming obsolete?
- Is the campaign cycle too long?
