Mauricio De Vengoechea runs his own firm, DV & Partners, which includes 18 senior consultants specialized in research, strategy, innovation, crisis management, digital communication and politics. Since 1982 he has advised 23 presidential candidates and more than 300 candidates for senators, deputies, governors and mayors in 16 countries.

 

He has also been a government strategist and has advised several of the most important political crises in the Latin American region, which have been successfully overcome. As a strategist, De Vengoechea advised the first presidential elections held in the Americas during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Dominican Republic and has since been the principal political advisor to President Luis Abinader.

 

A visiting professor at prestigious universities in Latin America, he is the author of the books, “7 Tools to Turn Off a Government Crisis” and “33 power recipes”. De Vengoechea is also a regular analyst for CNN and NTN24, among others.

 

With more than 30 international awards, he is a member of the Latin version of the Campaign & Elections Hall of Fame. He has been president of IAPC and ALACOP.
